Direct tv dish

Put my direct tv box in the coach for my trip out West and I'm getting a message on the box that says LBN no voltage. Checked my cables and Ever thing looks ok. Could my LNB be bad for sitting 8 months

what kind of a dish do you have? I'd replace the "F" connector then try again.

Is it a new directv receiver, new since you last used it. If so your RV is probably set up as a multi-switch system and the new receiver needs a SWM system.

I think you have to go into the settings of your receiver box and change the LNB settings. If you look at the documentation for the satellite dish it will tell you what LNB settings to use. If you con't have documentation, climb up on your roof and figure out who made the unit - its either Windard, KVH, or King

If you had it at home on an open faced antenna, then you need to change the settings. When I had DirecTV, I had to set the receiver for 18" round antenna. The receiver would not send voltage to the antenna unless it was on the correct setting.
