I love my well water from home. Can't stand the taste of bottled water and don.t like the plastic bottles. Sterilize the waterholding tank and live is great. Cheers Gerald

We've used water from our storage tank (dishes and bathing) but I don't think we've ever used it for drinking. We very rarely are not hooked up to city water.

Good question. I thought of that. Now to cop out I must admit I live in Fla and it rarely freezes here. Even if it does the place I store my RV is enclosed so it won't freeze.
To answer your question, if I planned on winterizing, my plan was to remove the RO filter system and store in house and bypass the system. Then I would run the antifreeze thru what is left.
I must admit if I needed to winterize each season I would put connectors on the RO to make it quick and easy to remove.

Ok. Just not fair you don't have to winterize. I had to winterize 3 times this last winter. Came back to Indiana too often I guess. Thanks. Russell

We do sanitize the tank with good old bleach but still don't drink the water and shut off the ice maker if not connected to city water. For the short amount of time we are not connected bottled jugs of water are not that much of an expense.
We do have a carbon filter connected to the supply hose when parked.

We have a high-quality water filter under the sink with a separate faucet on top. I would NEVER drink water directly from the tank!

Camper, trailer, class C, now class A, always used holding tank water. Sanitize now and then and the last two rigs had filters on a separate drinking faucet. No problems problems as of yet, other then repeating my self sometimes. 
Somehow paying as much or more for bottled water as you do for diesel when you can get it for free from the tap does not make sense for me. Ok if your only source of water is foul smelling or tasting and your filter will not clean it up. But even then it is rarely caused by anything ill, just iron and sulfur. I would worry more about that raw chicken you have sitting on the counter

we sanitize our water tank annually with bleach. we use a whole house filter from walmart to fill our tank and an adc 1/2 micron under sink filter for drinking water and ice.
we carry some bottled (by us) water just in case we cannot find safe water and to use while we are sanitizing our tank.

As others have said, we filter all water so yes, we drink the water from the holding tank. At times we prefer it over the campground water supply. There is care and cleaning that should be done annually to make sure your tank stays clean.

x2 - we drink bottled water as well - we keep 1/2 gal juice bottles to fill at known safe water sources or we buy bulk water. Onboard water is used for showers, toilet and washing.

I drink bottled water. I bottle it at home or from my MH holding tank.

Not from the tank, DW has bottled, and the daily supply comes from Coors or other preferred suppliers!!
