Maybe not all of them - but some are, or you can just Boondock - don't need A/C much easier to keep heat running.

As Busskipper said, some campgrounds are open. Not all the open ones will have water though so plan ahead and confirm if you are in need of water or dumping.

It is 4* at the RV park (in Flagstaff) we are parked in right now. Water and sewer are working as usual. I guess that would count as cold to most people.

JMHO,
Well, the heat's convenient when it's cold but not below freezing

We do camp below freezing, though. I drain the hose and we just use the tank and pump. With the heat going I'm not worried about anything else.

Not if we don't have to and certainly not on purpose. That's why we FT. We can move to nicer weather.

Wife was born and raised in Maine and hates cold. Never again she says. But sometimes traveling you get caught in it. Stuff happens. I would not do what you're suggesting with it being winterized though. Doesn't make sense to me.

One thing I do however if we get caught in ANY TYPE OF COLD TEMPS and we—have to move—I make sure that the coach is really warmed up inside and especially the windshield. I turn on my dash heater and let that windshield warm up real nice BEFORE I even think of moving the coach. And then when I do move it, I move out of our campsite very slowly and try eliminate as must twisting and flexing as possible until I get onto a smooth roadway where the coach is now flat and stable.

Have read to many stories of MH windshields cracking & popping out when stone cold.

We’ve been in our coach many times with temps in the teens. No problems at all.

We sometimes keep one of the slides in, just to reduce the cubic area we have to heat. We’ve always been comfortable and nothing freezes up.

We've been living in our RV since 01/15/19, and are now currently in Yuma AZ with no problems so far, most of the country is below freezing but we've been able to tough it out here!

Many times, that's why we choose rigs that are four season capable.

Many times during hunting season it will drop to mid 20’s at night. Have never had a problem with anything freezing. Most of the time the day temps are high 40’s low 50’s, so this helps. Most of the time we do not plan to head out into freezing temps.

Not a motorhome but we've used our toy hauler trailer in sub freezing temps. Last New Years we were camping at Roper Lake in AZ and got a couple of snow storms come through that took the temps down to 17 degrees. We were comfortable in the trailer and everything worked fine. We kept warm with electric heaters and used the propane heater minimally just to keep the water lines and tanks from freezing.

Yep... all the time! Just got back from Canada. It was down in the low 20's at night. Where we live it does not normally get real cold unless you go over the hump.
