About a year ago I replaced the canvas on my Dometic sunchaser, on a 2010 Fleetwood Class C, I think it's the same awning you have, and I took off the left cap with the torsion spring. Just be very careful, and do watch a bunch of YouTube videos. Just think about what you're doing and be deliberate and careful, and it's really not that difficult. My cap was riveted on so I had to drill them out and then re rivet it, but I think some of them have screws.
I think I watched about five different videos, and was able to glean everything I needed to know from watching all of them. Also take note that you have to do a certain amount of turns to pretension it. When I took mine off I just counted the turns as I released the tension, and then pretensioned it with the same amount of turns. I also sprayed the heck out of the spring with lithium grease lubricant, but perhaps the new ones come pre-lubricated? I just remember vice grips came in very handy in pre tensioning the spring. And keep your face away from it, in case it lets go, or your hand slips.
