My MH is two years old. The UltraGuard mud guard that came with it is worn looking and just plain ugly. Photo below.
I was just about to replace it with a new one, when I thought, "I wonder if there's a product out there that will restore the deep black color." I began doing some internet detective work, and came across a product called Forever Black. It's a black pigmented gel, made for tires. It looked like a good product, but I couldn't find anyone locally that sells it. The manufacturer will do retail shipments, but I didn't want to wait long. I went to ebay, and sure enough, I found a guy that sells it for the same price, and ships it Priority Mail, so I bought some. I applied it yesterday, and man, what a difference!
Just remember to mask off any chrome areas. I didn't, and it was a bugger to get off. You can find the stuff at foreverblack.com. It retails for $9.95 plus shipping, which cost me another $6.

Looks like a great product! Have you tried it on tires yet?
I've heard that some tire applications can actually harm the tire but I would like something that puts the black back on.
Thanks for the review.

No, I haven't as most of my tires still look pretty good. I beleive some of the products such as Armor All have brought up concern as they actually end up drying out the sidewalls. I'm no chemist, so I can't say whether or not Forever Black will harm your tires. Sidewall safety wasn't a concern with my mudguard, I said what the heck!

I have been using "Forever Black" on tires for some time now. It stays on the tires much longer than the liquid sprays as in "303" or "Armor All" and does not sling off on the wheels.
I used to buy it at Camping World until recently; went the other day to the one at Ft. Myers and they said they had ceased stocking it. Glad to learn of another source for it.
As you used it on the mudflap, it works well on the black ABS bumper guards, etc. when wax has been inadvertenly applied.

There is a product from Mcgures that makes all the polishes, waxes and car wash products called Back to Black and is usually carried by anyone who handles Mcgures products
