Dutch Star vs. Allegro Bus
I currently drive a Tiffin 2018IH 40. I'm looking at upgrading to a 43-45 foot model. I'm looking at Dutch Star models and Tiffin Allegro Bus. I would be interested in any feedback/experience owners have on the quality of either of these coaches.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I don't think you can go wrong with either. Both always made it to my short list. I own a Mountain Aire but believe the Dutch Star, at least until the price went bonkers the last two years, was one of the better values for a quality motorhome. In my searches for a motorhome I always liked the larger cabinets in the Bus kitchen/dining/living area. I like Newmar construction better since they cannot delaminate as they are hung wall construction.
My MA, which is not much different from a DS, is super quiet, very well built, and a joy to drive with the Comfort Drive steering system.
Good luck in your search.

If you're looking to upgrade to a 43-45 footer the Dutch Star only goes to 43'

Newmars have "hung wall" construction and are much quitter, plus I think they have better quality control.

I just looked at both of those units.
Neither has the quality of the equivalent 2015 unit .
These companies have been bought out by the giant rv mfrs
Quality is slightly better than a Thor or Forest River. What a shame.

When we purchased our first Dutch Star in 2014, we looked at both the Allegro Bus and the DS. We compared several things, but the DS won out primarily because it's the only brand that offers a tag axle in a 40' model. The dealer was also two blocks from our house.
Fast forward to second DS, a 2019, that we custom ordered. By then, we had learned some of the things we liked and disliked over the Allegro Bus. First, the tag axle, (not an issue in your case), the Comfort Steer is huge, along with wall construction. Take a look down the side of a Tiffin coach and a Newmar coach, the Tiffin will be wavy whereas the Newmar will be flat.
Newmar allows for a LOT of customization at a reasonable price. We changed our exterior colors to all light colors for $1200.00. We had cabinets changed to a different configuration.
When we look at our friend's Allegro Bus, I like the "look" of the interior better and their exterior mirrors. I also like that they use cassette entry steps versus the swing down steps.
Both models have the facades along the roof line that incorporates the awning and hides the rooftop components. However, Tiffin's facades are raised off of the edges and still allow water to roll off the roof and down the sides of the coach. On Newmar, the roof is a large well, with drains at the four corners, there is no runoff from the roof going down the side of the coach.
So......many pros and cons on both coaches. Some were just very personal to me after owning nine RV's over 45 plus years. I think either coach is a great choice, you just need to look at some of the specific differences and see if they matter to you.

I prefer the hung wall construction (studs) of the Newmar's and higher end Entegra DPs. Both (when we were comparing) publish R values. You'll find these units to be better insulated vs the Bus.

Delam is no longer a problem with motorhomes. Both companies have been bought out so expect quality to fall.

If your 18 does not have issues keep it. New stuff is overpriced and poorer quality
