Dynamax Isata experience, need advise please!

Hello we are going to take a look at a 2008 Dynamax Isata F550 with the 6.0 L Diesel engine, F series 310. This is a for sale by owner the seller says everything worked great and cosmetically it looks great. We read some nightmare stories about this engine possibly being a problem. We do not want to buy a lemon and have problems. That truck only has 40,000 miles so it seems not a lot for diesel but we are newbies and need expert advice. Please let me know if you have this coach and how it performs. We cannot find any reviews on this motor home so we're not sure if that's a good or bad thing. Thank you in advance!

6.0 ford

The v8 diesels are a very expensive engine to repair and difficult to work on.Parts are expensive not hard to get.I work on many pickups and ambulances with 6 litres and they run great when they are right.Try to get something with a cummins....if you do buy that unit change the oil and filter every 4000 miles use any good diesel oil I like mobil delvac .Imm a truck mechanic 45 years and prefer cummins, but my motorhome has a cat..you cant pick your engine when you buy used.Good luck
