A couple of weekends ago, we switched from the paper, horizontally pleated, up/down, shades in our RV, to hanging darkening curtains on spring loaded rods.

Got the darkening drape panels and rods at Walmart. The panels were way too long. Wife cut them to length and hemmed them. About $75 for all 5 windows.

LOVE them.

Tim

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Which curtains are you referring to, the windshield or the side windows?

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

We did about the same only used cotton shower liners which already have the grommets in place. Cut to length and hemmed the bottom. Works well and matches our color scheme.

I had Budget Blinds come out and measure all windows for room darkening blinds. Had them add blackout material to the back of the room darkening blinds. Huge difference in the inside temps. Also had them make new curtains for the front with blackout material added.

Took about 2 weeks to manufacture to size. They removed the existing day/night shades and installed the new ones in about 4 hours. Gave the old ones to a neighbor at the park.

Never again will I have to reweave that #&%@ cord/string.

Budget blinds custom fit mine, nice work. Wish I had thought to have them sew velcro to the mating edges for total closure on super sunny FL days. I took them to the local dry cleaners to have their seamstress sew on the velcro.

I spent a week or so shopping on line and at B&M stores couldn't find drapes with the correct measurements. SO I went with custom drapes
