Elkhart ID, National RV Museum and Dynamax Factory Tour

Loved Elkhart Indiana, the RV Museum was outstanding everybody should go there at least once. The president even helped me out with some brochures on my 2007 Dynamax. I have been unable to find any information on them but he had several information packs on my specific coach. He wouldn't take any money but just made a donation for them.

The next day I did the Dynamax factory tour. Another Class Act. Actually seeing how the coaches are put together from start to finish makes me appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into one of these coaches. Speaking to some of the Craftsman that were doing the paint jobs, there are proud bunch of people that take pride in their work. Although this group is a organized Bunch. They were unable to provide me any information on my coach because when Forest River purchased Dynamax in 2011 their record-keeping on the Forest River Side was lacking. Fortunately there was a couple of Old-Timers there that could give me some information. Either way a great trip to Elkhart.Click image for larger version

Interesting. But I think it's in Indiana.

We did both about a year ago when we brought our Dynamax to the factory for warranty work.
Interesting museum

We were there last week of February. So much to see, so little time.

Now, we gotta go back.

We did the RV Hall of Fame last summer. Pretty interesting how RVing has evolved from how it started and what it was, to what it is now and maybe where it's heading. I especially loved that TOTALLY refurbished GMC coach. Man, that is by far, some outstanding quality work. Heck, I'd take that one over many of the new models out.

One thing for sure, In the Elkhart area, you'll definitely see quite a few RV/Trailer establishments and, oh, just a few Amish folks too.

There is a great doggie day care in Elkhart. Our three loved the place and we didn't have to worry about them.
