I was at Hobby Lobby one day, just browsing in the 'wilton' cake decorating isle, when all of a sudden I spotted this wooden 'fondant' icing roller.. for only $5.48 plus tax of course. I have used it several times on the roof tape since I don't use Fondant icing.. the roller is 4" circumference x 4 1/4 " wide, solid wood roller and handle. You could probably order it online from Wilton if you don't want to browse in Hobby Lobby.

Isn't it great to find bargains...

Someone is the mfg of Eternabond but whom?

Would this be an alternative at a lesser price but hopefully the same quality .

I don't think I would go with a cheaper brand just because it is cheaper. I would be afraid of the outcome.
Eternabond is a proven product. It has worked well according to anyone I have talked to that has actually used Eternabond...including us.

Responding to a PP, I queried the company and got the following.

We appreciate your interest in Eternabond.

We are the manufacturer.

Sincerely,

IF he actually used an Eternabond product, it sounds he may have bought the wrong kind. If I'm looking at it correctly there is a version that you apply and then put a sealer coating over it - as opposed to the type you just lay down and you're done.

Used it on my patio cover and it worked great. Also on the MH as well.

Does anyone know if it is paintable? I have to repair a spot on my bunk under the window. A feature stripe wouldn't look out of place there so I was thinking of painting it to match the other striping.

Yes...

Before....

After...can be found in the album here...There is evidently a glitch in the photos section. It keeps giving me the same photo properties for all the photos...

Here is the "After" photo...

SacsTC also said I should mention that the Eternabond we used for that was the "Metallic" Eternabond ... (The actual name is "Eternabond alumibond")
It was painted just over a year ago...and there has only been one small spot that the paint has flaked off. SacsTC did the paint as an experiment and did NOT do any prep work. (He would have primed it if he knew it was going to work). According to him..I was whining too much about the silver colored Eternabond!)
