Eternabond tape Removal

Looking for the best method for removing earth bond tape from my fiberglass roof. I have the coax running to my Wi-Fi antenna , and want to re-locate the antenna.

I think maybe you mean Eternabond Tape ?? I suggest you google " Eternabond tape removal" As I recall mineral spirits helps.

Mineral spirits is safe and effective. Stronger solvents, e.g. MEK or acetone, will loosen it quicker, but you run the risk of damaging other areas if the solvent spills or runs.

Inexpensive oscillating tool makes short work of caulk and eternabond removal.

I have a oscillating tool but afraid that might dig in to the fiberglass roof.

Get a couple putty knife tools for the oscillating tool. They work great!

Smooth edge flexible scraper blades are available ... I've used it dozens of times. Works great to remove stuck gaskets when replacing rooftop A/C. Notice the rounded corners. The blade is similar in flexibility to a drywall taping blade.

The rounded corner blades works pretty safely on a multi-tool and its faster than using a hand putty blade tool. I'd still use a solvent to loosen the grip, though.

Has anybody ever tried Goo-gone or other adhesive remover on Eternabond?

Nope ... I've just used the mult-tool and mineral spirits for residue cleanup and a final quick wipe with acetone before a new application of caulk or eternabond.

Check out the Eternabond video library
I, like Gary, have used mineral spirits successfully It is NOT petroleum-based, and softens sealants enough to facilitate removal.

Two Words.....

Heat Gun.

Followed by:

Elbow Grease

OK, so that's four words. Or more. Math was never my strongest subject.
