I drop a cascade dishwasher pod in both black and gray along with a Camco or other deodorizing pod. Going down the road it is like a 30,000# washing machine sloshing an cleaning tank and sensors.

I do something similar to a few others above. When I get ready to head home after a trip, I first drain and rinse the black tank several times. Then I put 10-15 gallons of clean water in both the black and grey tanks along with a bottle of pinesol. Usually a store brand so its only about $2 each. Then I drive home so the water washes around inside the tank the whole trip. Once home my RV is parked in a wooded area not real close to my house so after I get home, I drain the pinesol water mix into the woods. Its usually very clear. If not I rinse again with fresh water.
