2019 Tiffin RED 37BA. We choose not to use an external. The internal is after the pump. When filling the tank, we do not want to filter out the "chlorine", so we can hopefully continue to fight off bacteria.

There are all grades and types of filters. You can get a 1micron carbon block filter. That will fit it.These get good reviews.
1 Micron 2.5" x 10" Whole House CTO Carbon Water Filter Cartridge Replacement for Countertop Water Filter System, Dupont WFPFC8002, WFPFC9001, FXWTC, SCWH-5, WHEF-WHWC, WHCF-WHWC, AMZN-SCWH-5, 4Pack https://a.co/d/3s8hZuh

Flat outer membrane can easily be plugged with sediment and rust a whole house wound filter would help prevent it from plugging up earlier than it should. But for the price not a huge deal.

We use the Camco blue as a sediment filter (20 micron) and a 1 micron filter in the canister. Works well for us.

We use an external filter. Never hurts to have extra. Plus, I put the filter before the water pressure regulator, to keep it from getting plugged with sand or sediment.

After the regulator, I put a portable RV type water softener. Then the water goes into the coach from there.

Without a water softener, your faucets, shower head, dish washer, washing machine, etc will get clogged with calcium, lime hard water deposits in no time at all !

We have an internal filter, but I still use an externa, the blue Camco from the faucet to the hose that way it filter my hose as well. Don' ask me why, I have been using one since before they started putting them internally and have simply kept it up LOL Plus One never knows the quality of an RV parks water, another filter can't hurt.

I use this one (Pro+Aqua Premium Dual RV/Marine Water Softener Regeneration Kit and Water Filte)r:

whenever I use my portable water softener. It makes the periodic regeneration easier in addition to another layer of filtration. I like that the case is clear so that you can see the condition of the filter element.

Take care,
Stu
