I hope you have no problems with your carrier on the claim.

I also am so sorry to see these pictures and the devastating loss you must be feeling. The longer you had the coach, the more like a member of the family it is/was. :(

I recently had damage from abrupt high winds hitting my coach with the awning out, it tore it to shreds, wrapped it around the roof, and punched holes in the rubber membrane, did damage to the satellite antenna, slide topper, etc, I've had major communication issues and delays with my carrier on payment and lastly they tried to pull a fast one by initially approving then denying 1100 of the claim out of the final check, very sneaky of them. I'm turning up more heat on them through brokers and others that I know to help me get it resolved to my satisfaction.

Best of wishes.

Please keep us posted as to your progress with the carrier and also exactly what was the cause of this disaster.

So sorry for your loss. We had a fire on the road last week from a bad wheel on our boat trailer. It is a very scary thing because they get so hot!! I can see in your picture the melted roof. Your very fortunate you weren't in it. We leave ours plugged in off and on through out the year in our shop but like another poster said I would rather have it go up in the shop than when we have it out on the road sleeping in it. Hopefully your insurance will replace much of what you lost. They never replace it all though.

Since a few people have mentioned they are interested in how my claim progressed with the insurance company I thought I would give you an update. I have Allstate for my homeowners and my RV. The claim process has been very smooth and fair. I really have nothing bad to say. I highly recommend Allstate.

I agree! Good to hear your claim is proceeding smoothly! Now we're interested in knowing what your replacement plans are, if you're comfortable sharing, whenever you're ready! Best of success in your search...
Hugh

The breaker box in the bedroom...... Many RVers have a few screws loose.. WHEN those screws are in the breaker box, power inlet (if you ahve one) Outlet (on the cord if you have an inlet) or plug or anywhere else in the power line (Automatic transfer switch if you have one) it is a serious fire hazard..... One of the screws in THIS motor home took over 2 full turns before I even started to feel resistance.. It is tight now.

So sorry to hear about your fire and loss. We get very attached to our things and it is like loosing a child sometimes. You will replace it and get things fixed. I wish you much luck and patience through this process.

Prayers are with you, Lynne

I second that..
Sorry for your loss.
11 years ago and much better now - but there is nothing that compares. Nothing.

Lost her 31 years ago, at the age of 23. I would give-up everything I have ever had or will have to have had just one more day with her.
