Re: rodents - if possible, leave your hood up. It slows down the wire-chewing little varmints.

+1 on taking one battery clamp off. I store outside. After four months, I hook it back up and it starts right up.


I wouldn't worry about gas octane, but I might pour a pint of Seafoam into the gas tank and run the car a bit before storing it. Might slow down sludge somewhere.

All I have ever done for rodent proofing is to spread Bounce sheets in the engine compartment and in the car, Also, for 15 years, I have left a radio on tuned to a talk station in both garages. It seems that a human voice talking discourages mice from hanging around. No mice damage since the radio and Bounce sheets.
