Fixing window sizing problem

So, we noticed water on the bathroom counter after the last couple rains. The first time I figured the window wasn't closed all the way or the weep holes were clogged and needed cleaned. After that didn't fix the problem, I began poking around more seriously. Come to find out, the factory window is grossly undersized for the opening, like it is 13 3/4" wide and the rough opening is 14 7/8". The height difference is even worse! At the top of the window, the only thing protecting from rain coming in was the caulk joint. When I scrapped away the caulk to inspect, there was an 1/8" gap between the top of the window frame and the rough opening. Really! LOL. Window must have been installed on a Friday afternoon, or maybe Monday morning?

So the window came out, which was easy because the only thing holding it in was the caulk on the outside. Literally, most of the seam tape wasn't touching anything but air inside the rough opening. From the amount of caulk attempting to fill the void around the window, it looks as though the previous owner had tried to address this problem before, kinda.

Now I'm looking for a replacement window sized correctly for the opening, and the best I've been able to find was $314 through easyrvwindows.com.

Anyone else have a cheaper source for quality dual pane fixed windows? Rough opening is 14 7/8" x 26 3/8" with 3" radius and 1 1/2" wall thickness.

Thanks for any insight available.

Sounds like the opening was cut on a Friday and the window was installed on a Tuesday , after a LOOOONG weekend .

RV Parts and Motorhome Parts Online Outlet - RV Windows

Might be worth a look , or Google RV wreckers in your area, for possible used windows.

Well, I ordered a new window (correctly sized for the rough opening) from easyrvwindow dot com, total was $401 shipped, but it'll take 5-6 weeks to get here. Dual pane, stationary, dark tint, with white frame.

I think I've also found the left and right limit to the water damage down the wall, but have to pull the counterop to find out how far down it goes.

I've been wanting to replace this countertop anyway, guess this will be the time to do it.
