OK, this one has got me stumped. We are still working out the kinks on our new class A. When we are using the on board (tank) water supply we have no problem getting hot water, however, when we are on city water we get hot water in the kitchen but the bathroom fixtures (shower and sink) get only warm water. I cannot figure this one out, has anyone else ever experienced the same problem. If I had to guess it almost seems like the city water may be teed off into the bath area combing hot water from the heater with cold city water. Underneath the unit there is a labyrinth of water lines that will be difficult to trace but I am going to try. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Mark.. go out and check your outside shower... the faucet in your hookup bay. Make sure both knobs are OFF. What your describing can happen when it's only turned off at the spray head.

The only simple answer is that what you describe can't be happening, but it is. Although it seems ok, check the bypass for the water heater and be sure the bypass is closed completely. There is no reason the bypass will work differently on city water or the fresh water tank. Beyond that you may have some plumbing error by the manufacturer. Even then, getting different results in the kitchen and bathroom is a puzzler since they have the same supply unless you have one of the MHs with separate plumbing to everything, which is a nice upscale feature. Since it is new a trip to the dealer would be in order after an hour or two of effort on your part. Let us know what you find.

Yep...same exact thing happened to me while camping last year. Called out a moble RV tech who took everything apart and still couldn't find the problem. I logged onto iRV2.com and someone told me to check the outside shower. That was the problem...no more luke warm showers!

Thanks for the replies1 The problem was indeed that the outside knobs were in the on position! Turned them off and had hot water!

That is great that you have the solution and learned more at the same time. The kitchen hot water working and the bath hot water not working are still not explained as well as all hot water working when on the fresh water tank. I can see these symptoms occurring coincidentally with the outdoor shower being on or off.
