I seem to need leveling on the front in most sites. Side to side I just use blocks but a number of spots I have found for and aft needs several inched correction.

Have an older class A and trying to save money. Is there any units available that come in pairs for front axle only. Is used an option.

Gordon I've seen many types of front jack applications. One is the crank-up siccors jacks under the axle. I've also seen hydraulic bottle jacks used. There are also many "drive-up block platforms sold but you can make those from cement-form plywood and other type of wood. Jacks "all the way around" are a great convienence for stabilizing the rig but not absolutely necessay for levelling. Look around he campgrounds and you'll find plenty of varieties. Hope this helps a little, Steve

Gordon23, I think your best bang-for-the-buck is to fab a couple of sturdy wood ramps, and carry a few chunks of 2x8s or 2x10s along too. I've never heard of anyone selling a used set of jacks (but I haven't looked for them either). A new set of say, HWH jacks, will set you back about $2K I think.

More like $4k for all four corners, installed.

If you want to save some money, I'd go for a couple 4 ton bottle jacks and a few 2x8's. Maybe add the scissor jack stabilzers to the rear.
