Well said...
I have a gasser with a Ford E450 6 speed.
After re-insulating the “dog house” it’s actually very quiet on the highway.
However, from the start the suspension was questionable.
To correct it I added the following:
> Helwig Anti-Sway Bars (front & rear). The OEM sway bars are undersized and do little to correct sway. The pair ran $600 and is a fairly simple DIY
> Air Lift 1000 Air Springs inside the front coils. For under $100, if you can DIY, they were the best solution in smoothing out rough highway patches, as well as around town bumps
> Also installed a new steering Damper. The $500 Roadmaster or SafTPlus is preferred. But a beefed-up Bilstein Steering Damper for $100 makes a huge difference vs the undersized Ford OEM product.
> Finally, it’s unfortunate, but all new Ford rigs are out of alignment once they are loaded up with gear. So you need to spend $200 or so for a professional alignment
All of the above mods makes a newer model gas rig EZ to drive and dramatically limits sway & rattling
