Generator stopped outputting power

I have a 5500 Onan generator. This one has 2 30a breakers. One of the breakers is completely soft with only a return feeling. The other one will latch. The power system in the motorhome thinks it's getting no power. Any ideas?

Does the system require two working breakers? I'd start by replacing the breaker thats soft as it sounds like it needs to be replaced anyway.

Boondocking currently and hoping to fix for now. The power system is not allowing either leg to supply power.

The breaker should still reset right?

A soft breaker should be changed. It's failing. A re-tightened loose wire will not make the breaker good again, but it will make the connection good and eliminate one cause of a tripping breaker.

One of the breakers supplies power to the relay in the transfer switch to switch it over to generator power. More than likely that soft breaker is the line feeding to the ATS relay. Could try taking the wire(s) feeding from the breakers to the ATS and switching them on the breakers. This would use the other breaker to activate the ATS plus reduce amp load on the "soft breaker" so you should get some circuits working and possibly the reduced load on the other breaker might allow that one to work temporarily but definitely change it as soon as possible.
