Genny preheat activates on its own

Posting this for a fellow rver. He has a 2003 ultimate freedom winnebago and the generator preheat occasionally comes on by itself and will continue clicking until he hits the switch. Found exact problem on rvnet but no solution was posted. Any help would be appreciated.

The first thing I would do is pull the connector on the side of the genset and clean it up good and use a dielectric grease when reassembling.

Auto is turned off I will pass on the info about that connector thanks for the replies guys
