One park we stayed at, had a review from someone complaining that he had gotten a hamburger from their on site restaurant, and it had no toppings. This had nothing to do with the quality of the campground. All the other reviews were good, including any other references for their restaurant. We stayed two days, and thought it was a good place.

I saw a group get asked to leave by the manager after I reported them. They were doing dishes cleaning fish at an empty site and leaving remains on the ground.

My thoughts exactly.....

Maybe it's time for OP to find a different hobby.
Reading the post it would discourage me if I had never RVd.

What some people view as "chasing profits" is often really "avoiding losses". It is frequently the money losers who don't pay their taxes or don't maintain their parks properly. It takes money to run an RV park. Lots of bills that have to be paid. The money you pay the parks goes to a lot of places before the owner gets to keep any of it.

Much higher chance of problems in a hotel than in a RV park or even a WalMart lot.

The article is a lot of manure. Those are plenty of reasons to not want to stay in a park and we have been in a few of those since we started RVing in 1984. But because someone else is doing them is no reason for you to get kicked out.

We have never been asked to leave a park and if it gets to the point that something is bothering us, we pack up and leave. Then we find the various park reviews and leave a review and why the park got a bad review.

Now on the other hand we have seen a few folks kicked out of a park for not following the rules. It is simple, follow the rules or pack up and leave.

Over the years, we have seen the change in RV campgrounds and some becoming a "trailer" park. The R in RV does not mean RESIDENTIAL.

I do my homework when looking for a place to stay and have been real satisfied. I don't mind paying extra for a quality RV park. Perhaps if the OP did the same homework he too would have better experiences. If you stay in a dump to save a buck you get what you pay for.

It would have helped if the OP had not suckered us in to his thread by using a thread title that had nothing to do with his post.

My guess is that the OP is watching his pennies (nothing wrong with that) and getting what he is paying for.

We have not been kicked out of any RV park either. However, we will drive around the park before checking in. If we see junkers, evidence of drug activity, or just plain neglect we will drive on. Safety first! Usually you can tell if there is neglect or nefarious behavior that is overlooked. Of course we do look for higher end parks which help avoid the problems. I've heard more stories about people who should be asked to leave and aren't rather than folks being kicked out for nothing. But you can usually avoid issues with a little research and touring a park before committing.

In all those years, we've never been 'kicked out' of an RV park OR have had to leave...
That's because you use paragraphs.

The reviews that amuse me are the ones that complain about highway noise when the park is right next to an interstate, or train noise when it's next to a railroad. It's just like people who build a new house under airport flight paths then complain about the plane noise or next to a waste treatment plant and complain about the smell.

Sounds like the glass is empty kind of guy. You got a key, fire it up and go.
