Exactly!
An example on the other side of the coin is Michelin who told me that they would honor the warranty on my tires starting with the year I purchased my coach rather than the date the tires were manufactured. I bought it in early 2007 and they said they would honor the warranty through the end of 2012.
Having said that though, this was only in discussion and I did not have to submit a claim for them to actually pay.
