Got a dryer?

Last spring, saw birds hanging out around my dryer vent. There is no screen; just a flapper that doesn’t seal tightly. Fished out some grass and twigs but used the situation as excuse to buy a Harbor Freight inspection camera. This is what I found. After removing the vent cover, the plug of grass, twigs, and feathers turned out to be about 6” long.
Lesson learned: this spring I will tape or wedge the flapper shut tightly before nesting season.

Two years ago, I had a broken dryer belt. When looking around, I found a mud daubers nest on the outside of the dryer flapper that went against the outside of the coach....so the flapper would not open. Now when I park for a while in my barn, I put Walmart bags over the generator, AH and main exhaust pipes, and stuff two or three in the dryer opening.

Put metal window screening over all openings. Texan here. Check underneath before each trip.

Only thing I've found (Other than the mud daubers) Was an industrious squirrel who tried to set up house keeping in the Diesel exhaust pipe.
Pissed Him/Her right off when I fired up the Cummins.

Not the same, but I have the SS trim along the bottom edge of my coach. While parked at home, I had a small black bird that kept jumping up and pecking the SS. I'm sure he thought it was another bird. At first, I thought it was funny until I looked at the SS. He scratched it up pretty good over a few days.

That's the thank you for keeping it so bright and shiny.

I had a similar problem in Florida two years ago. Lizards would see reflections of themselves and start "fighting" with their images.
