Unfortunately we don't have a slide cover & associated roller bracket on that slide .... so the LED tape would have to be exposed on the top side of the slide ....

We still looking for the right option .........

If you are talking about near the top on the side of the slide, then that would not be a problem with the LED strips I used! They are waterproof, plus adding the thin layer of clear sealant along the edges would be additional insurance!

Joe,

Was there any reason why you did not buy a complete kit instead of separate pieces similar to the below link?

Lavolta KIT-1 RGB 300 LED 16 ft. Tape Lighting Strip 12 VDC Waterproof IP65 44-Key Remote 6A PSU

That one has the IR remote. I wanted an RF remote to be able to change the lights inside or outside.

I'm going with the ones I found. Seems to do a lot more than the others. Expensive Yes, but so is life, lots of different patterns/light combo's plus you can set to chaser lights. Check out one of there Videos

Tim, just be aware that that kit comes with IR remote. Is that what you want?

Yes I did, I'm going to use them as ground affect. I also will use under the awning. They have 1000's of different light combos. I like the chaser part too. I can hook up too 4 different strips also.
Hot many Colors does yours get?
I really like how yours looks.
Great Job,
Tim
oopps I listed the wrong one I am getting the water proof set $5.00 more...
I will change it to lessen the confusion .

The RGB strips have red, green, blue, and white, but it combines the colors for an amazing variety!

Aside from being able to control the strips from outside and inside, the other problem I see with the IR control is that you've got to have the sensor exposed for direct view from the remote. Hope that won't be a problem for you!

I'll have to look into that. I thought it would been like my Garage door opener. That opens my door 1/2 block away. I thought I heard in one of the Videos that you can be a good distance away from Said box and have it work.
I plan on having the box/Controller in the Drivers area.
I'll research it and see what I find. Thanks for the Heads up
Tim
