Learned my lessons as a teen; first cost me a tow truck, 2nd in a VW Beetle, barely left 1/4" deep tracks until I stopped and it then sank to the pan

I’ve seen and used fiberglass mats. The guys that had them use them for their well drill rig which is in excess of 60k. They are lighter than plywood and work great. You would need eight to drive, 1 for each corner and another to drive onto.
If you are putting in a pad you should look into gravel for the drive so that you don’t have to deal with it.

I just came across these at Walmart. Couldn't pass them up.
They are thick rubber with round cleats on both sides. I almost needed some traction help yesterday in the toad.
