No. That is not what I said. If I had not experienced some positive results I

Change is so difficult for most, especially when it goes against what they have been taught and come to believe. That is why I am getting such flack in this thread.
The VG's are placed at the rear of the coach in order the break up the low pressure that is normally created in the rear deck area. Truckers, race car drivers, bickers, etc all know this as the draft area. Air is forced into this area by the action of these devices. I could see the results on the back of the rig and the front of the towed by the reduced amount of dust and collected back there.
The aviation stuck folks are still trying to compare the purpose and action of these things to that of flying. That is like trying to compare the purpose of ballets in a ship to the functioning of a rock wall. The old square riggers used rocks for ballast and the sailors never doubted they could build a wall with the stones and a house with the wood of the ship.
So many inventions have been repurposed in mans great history. Why not vortex generators? Should we do what the leaders in Da Vinci's time did and burn the creators of new ideas alive? I feel like my honest report has turned into a witch hunt and I am the witch!
The purpose of
these vortex generators has nothing to do with flight but everything to do with controlling the effects of airflow over the rear of a box being propelled along the highways of our great world! The action is repurposed to a new way of thinking. The function is the same but the results is different because of the reapplication of the idea and device.
Get out of your box! There is a whole new world of adventure to be had. This idea is among them.
Happy trails,
Rick
