Hello all

We just purchased a 1986 beach craft , I think it's a 32 footer. Only paid a grand for it

I have a couple questions , first is , the fridge is not working ,it's a domestic royal rm3800 , I checked all the fuses and there good , green light is on but not cooling.

Second is , there is a couple toggle switches by the door , not pump or anything they are stand alone , what are these .

Third is there is a toggle switch by the sink about waist level . Any idea about this one.

Thank you all for your help

Hi and welcome!
Not sure of your rig, but the fridge, if like most RV fridges, is cooled by ammonia in a sealed loop. Here's a link to a question and answers about the same fridge.
The switch next to the sink is likely for the water pump.
This is just a guess as well, but one of the switches by the door may be the battery disconnect. You may just have to experiment to find out what they all do.

Hi. Welcome to iRV2. Glad to have you.

If you could post pictures of those switches, it'd be a big help to us trying to assist you.

Well, for the switches by the door, there's a piece of tape above the left one that reads STEP. I would guess the one beside could be either a porch light or an interior entry light near the door.

On past RV's we've owned, a toggle switch under the kitchen sink was to turn on the water heater.

What happens when you toggle them?

If the second switch by the door does not turn on the porch light. Is there another switch that does? If not, check the bulb in the porch light.

If the porch light is controlled by another switch. Turn on all the ceiling lights in the area. If one does not come on and that switch is off. Turn on the switch. The light should turn on.

Then that is probably for your propane fired water heater. We had a travel trailer with that type of switch for a Suburban tank. The light came on when the propane powered flame was engaged. If the light went off, the flame faulted....which could be due to multiple reasons.

I wouldn't try it unless you've got water in the water heater tank, though.

Its DOMETIC, not domestic. Autocorrect is a pain, but if you get it right when searching, its much better for getting hits. That old, the fridge may be Swedish made.
