Hooking up to external propane

Hi, I've seen the stay a while and extend a stay. I'm wondering if I could order the hardware in pieces cheaper than one of these kits?

If it’s long term you could just replace the line that runs from the vapor line on the tank to the regulator with a longer one that will reach to your external tank. That may be what I’ll be doing. We are staying in Victoria for the winter and since power is expensive on the island propane would be our only other choice.

I thought about doing that. I believe my hose may be long enough to reach without replacing too. But, I'm thinking I'd prefer to just have the easy option of hooking up to external propane when I want to instead of having to switch over the hose each time

I really doubt you will find it cheaper piecemeal, having said that not all of these kits are built to the same quality level, my current one is a Sturgis Stay QD which sold for about $80 on amazon a couple of years ago, and the included hoses are of much higher quality than the old unknown brand unit (which had leaking valves)

Heard that. Ok I suppose I'll just go with the kit then. Thanks!
