Hot water tank bypass

I have a small in hot water tank drain. Can I bypass the water heater and still use the water pump for coach water?

Yes you can. The bypass turns off cold water from entering the tank and sends it to the hot water line going to faucets.
I had to do this last year when water heater developed leak while on the road.
