That would, of course, be the best way, and what I would do.
Would use the Dicor for a quick fix on the road.
To the OP...would suggest you check all the areas where the Eternabond was applied. Possible there are more areas that need attention.
If you find areas of the tape that need to be removed, use a heat gun to warm the tape. It will pull off without too much trouble. Adhesive that remains can usually be removed using heat gun and a plastic scraper. After, clean real good with mineral spirits, after which I swipe the area down with acetone. Then reapply new Eternabond.
ANY dirt or moisture left on the surface will cause the tape to not adhere.
