Human Urine Odor Killer for Blacktank

Are there any good blacktank-safe urine odor eliminators that are recommended?

I am considering using my blacktank for urine only and was looking for recommendations if they are different from the normal additives for both solids & urine.

If your toilet and tank vent are working correctly there should be no odor at any time unless you flush while a vent fan is on. The only thing I have ever used is lots of water to keep things dissolved, including storing with a partially full tank for a couple weeks between trips. I would not worry about it and use it as intended for liquid and solids, just fill 25% with fresh water to start after every dump. Chemicals are a waste of money and your toilet should be used for it's intended purpose. That's what it's there for.

It is a holding tank for waste. If you use lots of water, the vent is working and we use Odorless as a treatment. Seven years full time and we put #1 and #2 in with a septic safe single ply toilet paper.

We flush the tank every other dump, but it is a holding tank and it will smell at times. First thing is DO NOT run the vent fan in the bathroom while you open the flush valve.

We use happy camper treatment. We found it stops the odor in the blank tank. And it is not scented like others.

We've been using Happy Camper tank treatment for many years. Never any odors or clogs!

Another vote for Happy Campers. I appreciate the lack of a perfumey smell, plus it works.

I've seen several people say that they won't use their black tank, or like OP saying urine only. I'm just curious: what is the purpose/goal of such a decision?

I'm curious as well, why urine only?? Why complicate it, use it for both. I've used many different tank chemicals, they all seem to work fine. I always buy whatever is available in pouch form. It's just easier to me. I've also gone plenty of times with no chemicals, still no smell. The only time I experienced any kind of smell was when I left the grey tank partially full and the water in the p traps in the sinks evaporated, while driving it stank pretty bad. But never had poo tank smell

You spent good money for your coach with many amenities - USE THEM! If you wanted to use a bathhouse get a tent or pop-up. Been MH'g for 43+ years now and can't remember last time I've used a bathhouse. Regarding chemicals, I have no favorites.

Ok! This is to answer all those curious about why I am devoting my black tank to urine only.

I have an incinerating toilet so my toilet needs are covered! In order to extend out the use of my propane used for the incinerating toilet, I am thinking about going #1 in the black tank and just leaving #2's to burn.

This will extend the time between propane tank swaps and emptying the black tank as it will take a long time to fill with just me using it.

It all is to enable me to boondock alot longer.

I actually spent very little for my used coach and am remodeling it to fit my needs.

I owe nothing on it and bought it dirt cheap.
Highly recommend this if one has time and likes this kind of work.

You might read the instructions for your incinerating toilet. Think they are designed to expect some liquid, too. There may be some side effects of your plan.
