HWH Control Box
New to the forum but seeking part.
I have a Freightliner Chassis, 36' Winnebago Journey with a cracked HWH Control Box. I know HWH can rebuild but figure since it needs a board ut will be expensive.
My box is an AP31493. Or. RAP91262
I have spent days trying to find one in a salvage yard with no success. My serial number is 4UZAAHDC24CN74801.
Any ideas?

Welcome to iRV2.
Sorry your first post is about problems .
Have to ask questions .
What year is your coach ?
What series of HWH leveling system does your coach have ? 725 ?
I don't know if these folks track any used parts but it might be worth asking .

Thank you for the reply. I did call Stuarts. He suggested returning it to HWH.
I have been waiting now for over a week for HWH to call with an RCA number. Scared as to how long the fix will take. It may be my only option.
My bus is a 2005 and the system is an HWH325 series.

Thanks for posting the additional info .
I believe HWH is experiencing the same staffing issues as everywhere else these days , and the skill level required makes finding staff even harder .
I hope you have your repair done soon .

You might contact visonerv.com and inquire about a used control box.
I think you'll be surprised at the low rebuild price from the factory.

If you are sure that your controller is bad, contact the HWH parts department for a return parts number. I sent my board in this spring, it was fixed fairly quickly. Several parts were replaced and it only cost a little over $100 total. I was very pleased. The dot matrix printed invoice on tractor feed paper really brought my back to the old days. BTW it was a very complex Beaver air/hydraulic automatic level control from a 1995 Marquis.

Thank you. I was thinking several hundred for repair. The ones for sale by salvage yard are several hundred. Guess I just need to keep pushing for the hwh repair.

Frustrated
Took six weeks to get RGA number from HWH. Finally got it, sent it in and now been at their shop since 09/22/22. Six weeks later, today, they still can not even give a date for repairs. You can not talk to anyone for questions or update.

I feel your pain. I'm in the same boat except my control box is for a 625 series unit. I sent an online request to HWH on 10/16/2022 for an RGA number. When I heard nothing, I called HWH and got on a waiting list for parts department on 11/7/2022. I asked if the wait would be hours, days or weeks and the operator had no idea. Based on your experience, I maybe two weeks away from an RGA number plus more than 6 weeks for repair. I really hate the feeling of not having the use of my RV for months and being hamstrung by one proprietary part.

While it might be harder, you can still travel and or camp with a malfunctioning leveling system. You might have to carry a bit more lumber but, depending on each individual situation/camp spot/RV parking area, you can just place lumber under a tire or set of tires to accomplish very close leveling. It might be a bit more work than one is used to but, I'd sure as heck do my darndest to not let a downed leveling system curtail any trips if possible.

How are you sure the controller is needed?
Just repaired my HWH...ended up being a $0.10 switch needed to be replaced on the control panel board.
How was the control panel diagnosed as being needed?

The jack issue isn't difficult to deal with, but both my slides are not functioning either and that is a bigger problem. When bedroom slide is out, my feet hang over the edge, but when slide is in, I have to sleep in the fetal position and it's not comfortable. When I'm sitting in the living room, my knees touch with my better half's and it's difficult to pass each other. We had the HWH failure in western Canada so we camped over 4000 miles to get home. It was doable, but not fun.
