We just had the inmotion kingdome system installed and now are experiencing electrical outages. We are having the GFCI's trip out and are difficult to reset. Finally had to take the motorhome back to dealer to see what the issue is..
According to the new 9762-LP manual this is a 24 volt unit I think that the other one we had was a 12 volt. Not sure if this is the issue suddenly causing us trip outs if anything else is plugged into the 110v. It seems like a short but don't really know. If you have a clue to what might be happening please speak up! Thanks

Forgot to add that the coach starts so no problems there and it also kicks out the Energy managment system. The Rv was plugged into the 30 amp to the house too.

Yes, your system runs on 24v but the 24v comes from a 110v to 24v power supply that came with the King Dome.
More than likely the 110v circuit that they 24v power supply is plugged into is not sufficient to power the system.
Plug the power supply into another 110v circuit and see if the that circuits breaker trips.
You can also see what is on the current circuit besides the King Dome and turn something off.

Thanks will have the dealer check into that this morning. I think that the dealer said it was plugged into the back of the receiver???

Normally, this would not be a problem as the receiver has an 120volt power output plug made for 15 amp draw (usually).
Is the receiver on the same AC circuit as the GFCIs?
Seems a bit odd for a 24 volt transformer to trip a breaker unless there is something else going on with the same circuit.

Steve R don't know if it is or not but will find out. Really weird the dealer just called and said that everything was working fine although they did find two wires that were loose in the 30amp junction box where the cord extends from...maybe they found the issue.

I had that once on my 2004 Bus. I found that the 12 volt cord leading out of the 120 VAC tyransformer plugs into the back of the KingDome's module. It was loose and falling out so I wrapped some electrical tape around so it couldn't fall out and no more intermittent dropouts.

The dome system runs off a transformer that is supplied by King Dome that could be bad.

thanks Cruzer and Marty, I think the two loose wires in the 30amp box was loose. so far no more issues! I sure will double check the plug behind the receiver just to insure that that isn't contributing to the issue.Bouncing down th road can do lots of things to wiring. ;-)
