Inside rear wheel

Checking air pressure on my tires and I found the inside real wheel the bead is broke and I could not inflate - is it safe to drive to Flying J and try and get them to to remount the tire and check for leaks?

Any advice appreciated.

1. The rim will spin in the tire destroying the bead .

2 . The outer tire will be carrying twice the weight as usual and might fail .

Call around for a mobile tire repair .

I'm going to assume that you have a puncture of some type or a bad valve. No matter, your tire dealer (mobile repair or otherwise), will be able to confirm the problem and let you know if it can be repaired or if a new tire is needed.

Yes, it's always a better idea to call a mobile repair.

However, I once drove one of my DPs what I suspect was several hundred miles on a flat inside dual on the freeway. Once I realized it was flat, I drove it several miles on local roads to the nearest truck tire shop. The tire that was flat had hole in the sidewall. The shop replaced the tire and checked all tires and wheels on the rear and didn't find any damage to either the wheel in question or the other rims and tires. However, I'm not sure if I did any long-term damage to any other components on the axle but kept the motorhome for another few years and many more miles without any problems.

Not recommending to do that but just relating my decision which wasn't the best thing to do.

For worker safety, no truck tire should have air added when the pressure is less than 80% of operating pressure unless it's in a tire safety cage.
The inflated tire, if damaged, will survive driving to the nearest tire shop to have the failed tire replaced.

Have them closely inspect the inside of the inflated tire for damage before putting it back on the MH.

Thanks everyone - problem solved - it was in fact the valve stem loose - no damage to tire or rim - the tire shop took both tires off and tested and fixed tighten the valve inflated and mounted.
