Insurance shout-out for Overland Insurance
www.rvins.com, 1-800-677-4027.
At least to insure a coach yesterday in North Carolina, they had the best rates for what we wanted. They beat Blue Sky, Progressive, and RV America. Geico couldn't even write a policy in NC for the value of our coach.
Overland is a family business - 4 person office so anyone you contact can help you. I worked with Travis, but as Travis said, anyone in the office can help.
I can't speak for other states or other sized coaches, but if you ensure in NC, they are worth a call.

This is a follow-up to our OP and is primarily for new owners. In talking to Overland yesterday we learned that they are a "dealer" for a whole new package of RV protection that has just been introduced by Coach Net. If you have recently ordered or are considering ordering a new coach we would strongly urge you to at least give Overland a call, not only for insurance coverage but also to talk about the new Coach Net package. We feel we got a good deal on our insurance and saved a considerable amount of money on the extended coverages included in the Coach Net policy. We compared the Coach Net suite of products with those we were going to purchase from the dealer, checked out the underlying insurance company, Best rating of excellent, and the package administrator. We think the Coach Net suite is worth looking into.
And, if you did buy a new coach and haven't yet bought extended coverages, and your mileage is less than 12,000 you might want to give Overland a call.

Note that Overland is an insurance agency (broker) and not an insurer. You will be getting your insurance from another company, one that Overland finds for you (and gets a commission from).
They also sell other vehicle-related service plans, e.g. the RV Protect offering from Coach-Net (National Motor Club). Also for a commission. You can also buy those other things direct, but it may be convenient to have an agent like Overland do the shopping for you. However, you still need to understand yourself what the various insurances and service plans cover.

READ YOUR POLICY COVERAGES CAREFULLY and look at them based on scenerios that others have encountered. A Premium policy is not so Premium if they do not cover what could happen. Just saying... Does Policy cover damage caused by rodents, does it cover damage caused by a wiring fire and if so how and when.

Has anyone had difficulties or issues with Overland RV Insurance? I got a quote that is extremely low compared to Geico, Good Sams and Nationwide. Any information would be greatly appreciated to help me evaluate this company. John Rist
