Jump Starting Damon 2000 ultrasport 3670
I need help with jump starting my rv. Is it as simple as jumping a car? Are the 12v for the engine and the 6v for the house? Can I jump start the generator by itself? Thanks for the help

Yep,, jumper cables from a good car battery to the dead battery should work. You can also use a portable jump starter. Of course, how well these work depend on how dead/bad the chassis battery is.
On house batteries,, it or they should produce 12 volts. It's possible there are 6 volt batteries installed but there would have to be at least two of them to connect in series to make 12 volts. I would say it's more likely there are 12 volt batteries installed but you would have to verify for yourself just what's in there. Either way, are they charged? If so, then you might try using the emergency battery connect to start the engine.

Thanks for that! Once I got over my fear of blowing up the electrical system my crv got the two 6v batteries charged enough to start the generator and then the RV. Should I be turning the battery disconnect on if I'm not going to use it for more than 2 weeks? I'm going to load test them and check the water levels but the compartment they're in is almost impossible to get to them. Damon ultrasport 3670 275 Cummins diesel engine and Onan 7500 diesel generator..

You mentioned the additional battery for start up.is that the toggle on the dash with the battery symbol on it? If so how do I implement that when trying to start the rig? Hold down steady as I turn the ignition after wait to start light goes out?
Really appreciate your help. I have another issue with the ding ding ding that starts and doesn't go away when I engage the transmission in D or R. Stops in N even with air full etc. It's as if it's a seat belt warning. Back up camera? I'm completely lost and I drove her home with it constantly ding ding ding 🙃

The alarm may be hydraulic leveler tank being low or a jack is not fully up . Consult owners manual but often besides a dipstick the alarm is set to off and on at 5-6" with one jack down.
Some coaches had alarm module with different sequence dings. Things like antenna up as well
If for a reason you think chassis batteries are low you can boost with switch to minimize the loss from grid heaters, at that point you keep on switch to crank it over or might not be necessary. If batteries are pretty low non emergency just like a car the longer let jump the easier it jumps over.
The boost solenoid/big boy is part of many combine/isolator for charging all batteries on alternator or house charge. It's one of items that sees periodic failures no mater brand of coach. Comes up often.
Since the coach is new to you . Another item to check is the automatic transfer switch for the generator and house 120 volt system. With no power ,check the wire connectors/tighten and make sure they're good and tight and no overheating. These can work loose over time and over heat been suggested to check yearly. My ATS had previous issue. I re-did previous wire nuts repairs with new original type connectors.
Another thing to check is the brand and model of the ATS. Your coach was made before a recall on a certain transfer switch but it's possible one could have been replaced during the manufacturer of the recalled Iota ATS. I think these were for sale to the general public as well.

Oh heck, I didn't realize yours was a diesel. I should have looked it up before I posted. My advice to simply jump start may not have been good. Glad you got it going anyways. I know very little about diesels so can't help with your follow up questions.
