King size sheets
Purchasing a coach with a king size sleep number bed. Are all king size beds the same size? Should the sheets from our king size bed in our home fit this bed? If not, what are the dimensions we should be looking for? If they are a special size where can they be purchased?
Thanks

Here is a chart showing mattress sizes. Measure yours to see where it really fits as for the RV it maybe slightly smaller or it really maybe a regular size. Then you need to see if the mattress is thicker than normal cause then you may need deep pocket sheets. If it turns out to be normal size than you can get sheets anywhere, even deep pocket sheets can be bought just about anywhere.
One thing you can do is to pick up some Sheet Straps. Think of them as suspenders for sheets, they keep the sheets in place or are supposed to anyway. We got ours at Kmart for about $5 or so. We actually got 2 sets so we could use one for the picnic table covering.
http://www.dormia.com/sleepcenter/dimensions.asp - the chart did not come over very well so here is the link to it

Your standard king sheets will be fine. If you are going to add a topper to your sleep number you may need the deep pocket sheets, but most sheet now will accomodate the standard mattress depth. I like having a little to tuck under on the sides to keep the bed neat.

Not all RV beds are the standard size for the designation. You can always measure to be sure, but standard sheets will fit even a downsized RV mattress. It's a lot of money for custom sheets when standard sheets will do. However a standard fitted sheet will, most likely, be a bit sloppy if the mattress is smaller. We once had a 5-r with a short queen & I used standard queen size sheets. There was just more to tuck under with the fitted & it tended to come out & bunch up during sleep.

I found a tip somewhere, I think on RV Travel Newsletter, that showed a setup with suspenders used on the underside from side to side and top to bottom that worked quite well to hold oversized sheets reasonable tight.

We threw away the suspenders and other "devices" for sheet hold downs.... Get a handfull of large safety pins (1-1/2" to 2") ... We use 3 each down both sides and the same on the foot end. Pin the sheet to the bottom "roll" of the mattress.
