If I am not using the stove, I out the stove covers on for more space. I also do most of my prep on the dining table (slicing, chopping, etc.). I do a lot of cooking from scratch, so that table gets used a lot!

Prep work is what makes a small kitchen hard. I make menus and then see what I can prep all at once. Qt. Sized Ziploc bags work well. A lot of veg's can be prepared ahead of time in the amounts you need. Then I group them in a gallon Ziploc with a tape name on the out side. Much fast to put together a meal of everything is pretty much done ahead of time. Less clean up to.

I'm looking for sink covers for my 2004 Coachmen travel trailer. The sink is a 60/40 split. I searched the web but nothing that fits. Any suggestions?

I think you guys are trying too hard. What we did was change the way we cook. No complex recipes and far more one-pot or crockpot meals. Blackstone griddle (outside) whenever possible. We also factor in the cleanup ... if too long we skip that recipe. We transitioned over 3 months or so.

A Corian fabricator can make some ... not terribly expensive if using scraps.

An alternative is cutting down some wooden cutting boards.

Our Winnebago Vista 29VE has adequate counter space but I do most of the cooking at the outdoor kitchen that includes a refer and sink. I have a two burner electric hot plate, griddle, coffee maker, and toaster oven I keep out there. I run a heavy duty electric extension cord directly from the park power 20 amp receptacle to the outdoor kitchen area. Our unit has a quick connect propane fitting for the gas grill on the rear. Works for us when the wx is good.

Take care,

Patrick

Our 15 Discovery has a 6' kitchen counter and a 5' counter at a chest of drawers across. Covers on stove and sinks. Thanksgiving wasn't a problem.
