Thanks RJay, good suggestion but not the problem. I don't have an amprobe, but pulled the distribution panel cover and verified they are on seperate legs. Also verified there are no leaks to ground on the two hot legs from the breakers on the gen set to the dist. pnl. breakers. I'm beginning to wonder if the breakers on the gen set are getting so warm from ambiate heat that when both compressors start simultainously they simply over heat. This only happens on extremely hot days when I run both airs going down the road -- and then it may or may not happen. It's just a hassle when it does because the only solution is to pull over, go back to the gen. compartment and reset the breakers. I really don't think it's a problem in the air units because I have never had a problem with either one popping it's 20 amp breaker, even when I have accidentally turned one off then back on before the compressor had time to lose pressure.
