I've found that I easily have a 10 PSI range between cold and hot on 19.5" tires.

Kind of off subject, in Nov I attended the SEMA automotive show in Las Vegas and was amazed at the number of Chinese and Korean companys present that were manufacturing tires for autos and trucks. In the near future, if not already, the majority of all tires will most likley be made in China or Korea.

Roadking, I am considering replacing my Goodyear G670's w/Yokohama tires. Since it's been almost 5 months since you posted this endorsment of them, do you still feel the same way? They will cost me about $310 ea. out-the-door here in Great Falls, MT. Thanks.

Over the past six months I have read at least 10 discussions on tires for motor homes. My impression is that tires for motor homes are a perfected thing and that there are a lot of good makers. It does not seem to make a difference if you are talking about Michelin's or Toyos the ratio of positive to negative comments is about the same. One comment that seems to come up very often though is that Michelin tires get cracking problems too soon. I have six Michelin tires and two Goodyear (on the tags) on my MH. I need to replace the four rears in about a year. Seems like there are a lot of good choices.

Now that it is no longer "COLD COLD" have you weighed your rig when fully loaded to know the minimum inflation required for your new tires?

Tire pressure changes about 1 psi per 10 degreesF but you should always set based on ambient where you are. Do not bleed down simply because you think it will be hot where you are going.
Check the inflation each morning before you drive the rig and before one side gets hot from being in the full sun (that is the cold inflation).

I have kept track and they hold without change since we arrived home in Jan. 85#. We will be out on the road for a few weeks in Aug. PA. and N.Y. state and will check on driving days.

We had Kumhos as original equipment on our Kia Sedona. Just replaced them all at 75,000 miles/7 years. Front ones were toat because of an alignment problem. Since we're in Les Schwab country, the new ones are Toyos.

I expect to have to replace the tires on the 02 Georgetown we're buying and I expect we'll be back at Schwab again.

FWIW, you can't relate service from car or pickup tires with RV/medium-duty tires. Totally different applications, construction, service. A Goodyear G670 is nothing like a Wrangler, etc. To say a certain tire did poor or well on a pickup gives no indication of what the same brand RV/truck tire will do. They may even be made in different countries.
