updaye on kwikee,
the motor was fine , i tested it , but having ford window motor expierience, i discovered that there is a "gear plug kit for $8.00 bucs un plug unit at the 4 pin , remove the 3 screws , and the pivot pin lower motor , pull external gear slowly, remove 1 screw(torx) from cover, inspect nylon gear, and see that the 3 gear plug are in tact,( mine were disingrated, $8.00 at local parts store for a replacemment 3-pc gear plug kit, remove nylon gear, clean all pieces, and insert all three plugs while keeping steel gear , above, as to slide all pieces down at the same time ,( its a little tricky but with finese and some silicon lube they should drop down, compress them till they stop , lube all gear points in the motor gears , reassemble, in reverse order, lube all pivot points of the step, plug in motor, and all should be good ,,
this is the MCgiver way to save money ! there ma y be other problems , but in my case the motor continually ran but no step movement, the only wa y to stop the motor was to disconnect the battery .. thats how i knew it was a gear plug problem ,, pass it along ,, or i will rebuild those units if sent to me LOL.. im in fla...
