Kwikee step issues

I’m looking for how to solve my step issue. I replaced the motor as it had gone bad. The steps open and close when door opens and closes as it should. The lock out switch however does not keep step extended when we are camping. It does however remain retracted when activated. Original connections and it functions as it should in every aspect except this feature. I’ve looked up wiring diagram but they only show 2 wires to the switch of which I have 3 wires. Any help would be appreciated.

The switch at the door however appears reversed. The steps won’t stay extended but instead stay in when switch is activated and door opens and closes. I believe wiring is all original but not sure what’s wrong. I’ve noticed that my switch has 3 wires on back and it’s the original factory one. 1999 Monaco Diplomat. Thanks in advance.
