Leece Neville Alternator

Should there be 12 volts at the alternator engine off?

Yes, on the large main + cable.

That cable may come from the battery positive cable on the starter.

Yes, it makes it fun to change without disconnecting battery but it can be done. I slid a couple of large wire shrink wraps over wires until I put back it back on new alternator.

Turn your battery cutoff switches off, disconnect shoreline. Then check.

If still there, disconnect the batteries after you take pictures of course.

Drop that big wire and you could be in for some serious welding.

What yr and model rv? What model Alt. I know, Leese but which model???
