We've had a life change as of yesterday and now have the ability to travel anywhere. Up to this point we've had to stay near KY but now the US is our oyster. We would like to have a couple of "home lots" outside of KY and looking for help.

We know that some places take more than a year to get in so that is why we are asking and would appreciate any help. We plan to keep our lot in KY (very inexpensive) but would also like to have a lot near Sarasota FL (where my company headquarters are) and maybe a lot near the Phoenix area. The place we have in KY is secure and we will keep year round because the children and grandkids are here. The hopeful Florida location would also be a yearly lease with the "Western" location we could live with a six month lease. I still work and as long as I am within an hour of an airport, I'm good.

We are only one year into full timing and have stayed close to our KY home base but now we have the ability to go anywhere and trying to figure out how to do it. Really would appreciate any help with a place near Sarasota on the top of the list.

Run an internet search for what you desire, there are many such lease/own sites near Sarasota FL. You may have to request being placed on a waiting list. Another avenue is private owners also list their site for sale on the RV resort website only. That will also show up on your internet search.

lot rent at 600 so buck a month... no thanks.. 7200 dollars for nothing a year. WOW..

What I saw was 600.00 per week but you have to check availablilty to see the rate on the website.

We are closer to 10K for 5 months there. They do have cheaper spots than ours however.

We wound up there our first year because of late booking and due to size of resort there is always a good chance of someone canceling. Plus generous refund policy if you can not make it.
