Looking for RV advice

Need advice on RV models. 20 years ago my wife and I were full-timers. We're in a house now, but itching to get back out touring. We have visited 48 of the 50 US states in our RV's, we move a lot, and we dry-camp more than we stay in RV parks, so we're looking for a used class A with as few slides as possible. What models, 20 years old or less, should we be looking for? 36 to 40', and no tag axle. Thanks!

IMO, Bluebird; older models had no slides. The chassis will last over 1 million miles, the diesel engine was likely a Detroit Diesel, a very robust engine known for very few problems. Bluebird owners have their own internet group to discuss any/everything about their bus.

Our Country Coach on a Gillig Bus chassis has done well in its first 25 years.

Could be an option. Gillig is still in the Bus business and accessible for parts and information.

You can find Gillig under American, Country Coach, and Monaco rigs all built in the 1990's.

Okay we found a 36' Foretravel at Motorhomes of Texas, and bought it. Looks to be just what we need.

I think you will find this website very useful: beamalarm.com is Foretravel information from their archives.

No pics yet, we haven't taken possession. Left it at the dealership to have interior modifications done.

Older Prevost, all aluminum, no slides, built for 1,000,000 miles. Robust drive train, high quality and great looking. Sorry though, most have tandem rears.
