Low Pressure Solenoid Valve for Propane
I own a 2006 Dynamax Dynaquest 32XL. I'm looking for a 9 volt, 6 watt, 1 psi solenoid valve for the propane system. I think the valve itself is still okay, so if I could just find the solenoid that would fix my problem. The fittings on the valve are 5/8" x 5/8" FPT.
The valve is located on the downstream (low pressure) side of the regulator next to the propane tank. It is controlled by a toggle switch located near the generator where the propane fill connection is located. There are two switches located there, one on the high pressure side of the regulator and one on the low side. As long as your voltage is 9 volt or higher, the low pressure valve will stay open so you can use anything that runs off propane in your coach.
It looks like the newer coaches have replaced this valve with a Safe-T-Alert valve that is connected to the Safe-T-Alert panel in the coach. If the system senses any propane, it will automatically close the valve.
