LP gas monitor beeping despite being disconnected

I have the negative side of my house and chassis batteries disconnected and my lp gas monitor continues to beep!
I disconnected the monitor entirely to see if it had its own battery and it immediately stopped beeping.
Is there a lot of residual electricity in my system?
Any ideas?
This is a 2001 Fleetwood jamboree.

Thanks!

If the detector is beeping without a leak than it probably should be changed.
7 years or so is about what is expected from them.

My coach has a small solar panel on the roof. I found that even with the batteries removed from the coach I could hear chirps. I tracked it down to the solar panel producing enough electricity to make various things beep/chirp.

I just replaced mine after 15 years. The life is around 6 to 7 years but when it starts beeping it time to change. This is the one I got.

Yep, our does the same. Solar panel puts out only 7 volts at the detector... its old and burned out... I checked the voltage, and its chirping due to the low voltage. Disconnect the rood solar panel and it stops...

Actually replacing time is every 5 years. If any ones orders an inspection before they buy a used rv this is one of many things they check. If it's over 5 years old they check the box that says, "needs to be replaced". It's a safety PM item.

To answer this question, there isn't any 'residual electricity'. BUT there can be electricity from batteries, inverter, and solar cells. Some devices can have a capacitor that will hold a charge for a few minutes.

You mention disconnecting the "negative side of my house and chassis batteries" Are all of the cables disconnected from the batteries? Are the negative terminals bare? If even one wire is still attached, there can be 'electricity' in the system.

Thanks everyone for the input.
I believe its the small solar power panel on the roof!
Didn't even know it was hooked up this way.
Do these tiny 7volt panels even do anything besides setting off the low voltage on my lp gas detector?

Thanks again

In full sun the panels will produce 12 volts , and like others have mentioned mine was feeding power into a fuse panel at the front of the coach . I discovered this when the lighter fuse ( 15 amp )blew; testing the socket with a digital meter showed voltage , but nothing would work ( dash cam ,GPS) till I tested with a 12 volt test light and found the light just barely glowed. Volts but no amps of power.
Checking for 12 volt problems, always have both a meter and a test light on hand.

LP Detector is directly wired from Battery Positive Post...could be from BOTH house and Chassis Batteries

LP Detector provides it's own ground
Does yours go to shutoff solenoid at the LP Tank?

So it is beeping due to Low Voltage cause Batteries NEG Cables are disconnected......battery parasitic drain

PLUS 2001 Vintage.....
LP Detector and any other detectors should be replaced.
Sensors have shelf life and loose ability to 'sense/detect'

If yours is like mine, so very little current is produced by the solar panel. It was probably added by the factory just so they could advertise the coach had "solar power"!
