Magic Fan Turn back on after rain

Surely this question has been asked and answered. Apologies if so

Has anyone come up with a way to make the magic fan open back up after it closes automatically for rain?

Turn it on maybe.

Only way to do it is turn the switch off and back on. But if the sensor is still wet it will close right back. If you pull the handle down and open it manually, the sensor will try to close it if it’s wet and the motor will just run indefinitely.

I think maybe you are misunderstanding my question. There are many situations where a short lived rain shower causes the fan to close. And of course that’s awesome but if you don’t return for hours or even the next day the coach is blazing hot

It would be nice to find a way to have the fan reopen once it’s dry
Or maybe create a relay that cycles there on off switch every hour or something

Two things .

There must be a difference in the operation of your Magic Fan and my Fantastic Vent . The rain sensor will close my vent cover , but the sensor is then open to the inside air of the coach and will dry , and with the wall control set to " auto "and desired room temperature , the control board will re-open the lid and run the fan.

Six years ago , I installed vent covers , ( I snowbird for 5 1/2 months a year ) ; in that time I've only had it rain hard enough , with wind in the right direction to activate the sensor operation , twice . So maybe a vent cover is the answer .

You took the post right off my fingers. Much easier & cheaper to get a MaxxAir cover than to try to re-engineer the current fan.

There is great need for a sarcasm font.
