I can't find the new MS2012 or 2812 anywhere. All backordered. Depending on who you talk to, Some says Late this month, others are saying July or even next October. My tech guy that does mostly large boats/yachts told me to just do the Victron multi-plus, which I may do if Magnum delays this much further.

At least my old one is working fine.

I know that doesn't help you, but it sure is frustrating.

Iím not sure what you mean the MS2012 isnít compatible?
If you mean settings to charge Lithium batteries-those can be set in CUSTOM charge settings.
Battleborn has videos that cover how yo go that.

Iím told there are supply issues but now my old MS2012 failed and am told it could be repaired if a FET board were available.
ďSupply issueĒ problem is all right to understand what happened but I canít get any information except for the problem discussion. There isnít any information about what is being done to resolve the problem.
Anyone else have the same problem? Victron and Zantrex arenít stopping deliveries.
Does anyone know anything?

Iím getting platitudes from Magnum. ď
Sales is still pushing to get boards for these units in order to build, I will let you know once I get a confirmation. ď
Apparently getting paid for new units is more important than making sure your obligations to prior sales and warranty work is complied with.
People that are considering Magnum or Victron take notice.

I have an ME2012, not a MS2012. Big difference there. Also, per Magnum, version 4.5 and above (ME series, not sure about the MS series) would be LiFePO4 compatible with a control board replacement (upgrade), I have a 3.0, so that board isn't even applicable. I have no 'custom' setting option, only GEL, AGM, or lead acid.

Not to mention mine is a MSW inverter. A new Magnum PWS would be 'plug and play', but out of stock everywhere that I've contacted. . This has given me time to research options and I'm likely to go with Victron Multiplus2, as it supports so much more. I do have to re-wire some circuits though.

Well worth the small amount of effort now to make the switch. No manufacturer is doing more right now as far as innovation and focus on this part of the market...... not to mention the integration available with so many other compatible systems (MPPT, Battery Monitoring, DC-DC charging, updated Lithium profiles, not to mention ability to monitor and control systems remotely from pretty much anywhere in the world).

You're exactly right. I've had the BMV712 for a couple years.

The Victron CerboGX also brings it all together.

That is correct, but it Also depends on which revision your unit is. If you call tech support, they will walk you though the process to get that info on the display. The older revisions will not support a new controller. That was my problem.

But keep in mind, even if you can upgrade the new controller, it's still a MSW inverter.
